food runs in our blood
-
Our story began almost 50 years ago, when our grandad moved from Hong Kong to Manchester, with little more than excellent work ethic and a dream. Using this, he built a life around takeaways - a place where food brought cultures together.
Our dad followed in his footsteps, and we grew up in the middle of it all. The late nights, the clatter of woks, the smell of garlic and chilli in the air.
We learnt that food is more than just fuel - it's connection, culture and joy.
As the next generation, we wanted to honour those roots while adding our own chapter. We began in 2019 in a market stall with just some woks, some family recipes, and a lot of hard graft. The queues, the smiles, the people coming back for more told us we were on to something.
At the heart of our menu is Salt & Pepper - a dish born in the UK by Chinese immigrants, and for us, the perfect symbol of East meets West. This dish represents balance, yin and yang, tradition and innovation, heritage and hometown pride.
It's why our logo blends the iconic Manchester bee with the Chinese Dragon. -
It's a perfect reflection of who we are: Chinese kids raised in Manchester, fusing cultures through our food.
-
After years of perfecting our recipe, we believe we've created the ultimate Salt & Pepper dishes - crispy, bold and addictive flavours that are as comforting as they are exciting. Around it, we've built a menu of Chinese-inspired street food, made fresh, fast and full of flavour.
At the heart of it all, our mission is simple. To honour the hard work of our family before us whilst we try and build the future of British Chinese Fast Food.
This is our story so far.
We hope you'll be a part of it. -
